FAQ

Studio Vino is a fun and unique way to enjoy a night out rather than your typical art class.  Painting or creative experience is not required, anyone can do it!

Lost and Found

If you’ve left something behind at one of our studios we will keep it in lost and found for up to 30 days. You can come in and collect anytime we are open, please check the website calendar for our schedule.

Do you have a wait list?

We don’t keep wait lists for any of our events but we often post on Facebook when seats open up so be sure to follow us there to stay informed. You can also subscribe to our emails on the contact page of our website.

If there is only showing one ticket unfortunately we can not open another seat as we only have a limited amount of seating available.

Can I bring food?

Yes no worries, feel free to bring snacks. Please note at most sessions there is limited amount of extra space on the tables so please no large platters (unless you’ve booked a private event). We also ask that no hot or greasy food is brought into the studio as other guests may not want to smell your meal during their session.  🙂

Also please note that our events are held in an art studio where there is paint all around and you don’t need to worry about making a mess, therefore we don’t make food a priority at our public sessions. We suggest you plan to eat before or after you attend.

Can I leave my canvas and pickup later

We are unable to store canvasses that are left behind so please plan on taking your artwork home with you. Canvasses that are left behind will be recycled.

Are spectators welcome?

Spectators are welcome in the bar area however due to limited space only those who have purchased a ticket are allocated a seat in the painting area.

Can I BYO?

Our Glenelg and Holden Hill venues allow BYO with $5 corkage per person (including non-alcoholic drinks), or you can purchase very affordable drinks from the bar. View drink menu

BYO is not allowed at our Pirie St studio.

We sell beer, wine and cider at very reasonable prices as well as soft drink and some pre-mix spirits. For private events feel free to request something specific.

Unlike other states, in South Australia a full liquor licence is required, even with BYO.

Is parking available?

City: There is free street parking available after 6pm all along Pirie Street or there is a parking garage directly above us, enter via Flinders St. Exit via the Pirie St door and turn right, we’re just a few doors down.

Holden Hill: Ample free parking is available at the rear of the building. Enter from North East Road or Tarton Rd.

Glenelg: There is both paid and free parking in the area.  Tram stops are also just a short walk away.

Are children or babies allowed?

Unless otherwise noted, our evening events are strictly for ages 18 and above.  Ages 14 and above are welcome at our daytime events with a paying parent/guardian.

We also kindly ask that babies are not brought to any of our events. A caregiver is welcome to bring a breastfed baby in for a feed during the event however we ask that they don’t remain after feeding is finished.

No refunds or credit will be given if you bring a child to an event and are refused entry.

What is included in the cost?

The cost of the class includes a 40x50cm canvas (unless otherwise specified), all your painting materials, apron and instruction by an experienced instructor.  No food or drink is included unless otherwise specified in the event description.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes please. Due to limited seating, booking and advance payment is required. If we have spare seats on the day of an event we will post on facebook and walk-ins will be allowed.

How many people are at each event?

We require at least 10 people to hold an event and the most we can seat is 38.

What is the cancellation policy?

What if I don’t know how to paint?

No worries, most of our guests have no painting experience. If you can hold a paintbrush, you’ll be fine. Most people are a lot more creative than they think. Have a glass of wine and let our artists guide you through the completion of your masterpiece. Our sessions are fun and light hearted; just relax and enjoy the process.

What time should I arrive?

Please don’t be late! Painting starts promptly at the event start time so please arrive 15 minutes prior to the advertised start time. After you check-in you’re welcome to grab a drink and mingle with the other participants or find a seat until the painting begins.

Late arrivals can still attend however you may be asked to wait outside if you arrive during the introduction so that the instructor is not interrupted.

Please note that late arrivals are disruptive to the session and important information will be missed. The instructor is also not able to provide individual assistance so please ensure you arrive on time!

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you would normally for a casual night out with friends however paint does often get on clothing and is hard to get out.  We will provide you with a black apron to help protect your clothing but accidents often happen so please keep that in mind when selecting your attire.
